I've been tagged

Fran has tagged me with the Middle Name Game! These are the rules:-

  • You must post the rules before you give your answers.
  • You must list one fact about yourself for each letter of your middle name. Each fact must begin with that letter. If you don't have a middle name, just use your maiden name.
  • After you've been tagged, you need to up-date your blog with your middle name and answers.
  • At the end of your post, you need to tag one person for each letter of your middle name. (Be sure to leave them a comment telling them they've been tagged and need to read your blog for details.)

Okay then my middle name is Ann (well with Sally as my first name what did you expect?!!)

A - A lover of stamps (I think I have about 200 wooden, and I dread to think how many cling :))

N - Nerd, I love computers lol

N - Nestabilites is my favorite 'toy' at the moment

So glad I have a short middle name :) I will tag Kerrie, Nancy, and Kathy.

Might not be about

Just thought I would put a quick post to let you know I might not be about much for a while. I really must get on with making 100+ invites for my step-sons' wedding later this year, I can't seem to get motivated to do loads of cards all the same :(
Hopefully when I get my ass in gear they wont take too long.

Happy Birthday Dad

It's my Dads birthday today so I can now show you the card I made for him. I so love this Bella stamp :)

edited to add link to 'fixafella' on stampingbella :)

SBS - 8 Sisters

I just wanted to say to all you ladies what great fun I'm having reading all your blogs and getting to know you. You have all inspired me to blog more and it's certainly getting my card making mojo fired up:) I seem to spend all day at work thinking about cards and ribbons and stamps - well it helps to pass the time :) Looking forward to what 2008 will bring xx

FAO Su (and anybody else) lol

I have been asked about where I bought the nestabilies from, I got them from Cut At Home. If you join their VIP list then every month you can purchase one item for 40% off the list price !! I registered on 29/12, got my voucher code and made my order on 30/12 and received it 07/01 :)
I went for the circle sets (4 pack) which should be $85 so I got them for $51 plus they only charge actual postage (mine was $11.95)
Problem is there is sooo much stuff that I now want/need (and I'm supposed to be saving for a cricut)
I have just noticed that Joanna Sheen is selling individual sets at £16.99 free p&p so if you only want one set that would be better :)

Ribbon Card

Boohoo I had to cut some ribbons :( lol
I did get to play with my new nestabilities dies which are fantastic, I bought the circles set and am going to get the other sets over the next few months :)
The image is a watercoloured Magnolia, the paper is a download from sweet shoppe (they do great paper packs)

Holiday photo idea

I found a great idea last year for holiday pics, how many times have you looked through your photos and there isn't a single photo of you and your other half? Well... take your own lol. It takes a little practice but it's so much fun (and you don't risk somebody running off with your camera) here a a few pics of Steve and I last November in Spain. (Steve took the photos)

Unfortunately as you can see above you cannot guarantee what sort of picture you might get !! Just practice holding the camera at arms length and shoot :) I'd love to see other attempts.

Back to work

Well that's Christmas over back at work today, what a shock to the system and it was still dark when I got to work at 7.45 :(
On a brighter note I thought I would share the card that my hubby Steve made for me (slightly begrudgingly perhaps) and the one I made for him.

He does complain that he can't find anything, I can't see why lol, I really want to try to get it more 'workable' I don't like the clear boxes in front of me with my ink pads and embossing powders and heat gun in as I need to get 3 boxes out just to emboss an image. If anybody has any suggestions please let me know.
