Butterfly Birthday

Boy did I love making this card.
I had googled fancy fold cards for some inspiration and came across this one http://cardsandcompany.wordpress.com/2011/06/25/flowers-flutters-fairies-fancy-fold/ and loved the shape.
The image is theodore flowers from bugaboo  coloured with prisma pencils and solvent. The main background is a fiskars texture plate, embossed in the big shot. the top half is brick and I have used a wave on the bottom for the grass. The picket fence is a marianne design, stamped with swirls and flowers and hearts. The butterflies are joy crafts dies, inked edges and glittered bodies and attached to a piece of acetate to make them flitter. The trees were cut on the cricut and inked and stamped with a clevercut stamp, the cloud background was made by hand cutting some cloud shapes and chalking round them. The bear and the fence have been glued with pinflair glue for a bit of dimension.

New stash and a card

I went shopping yesterday to buy some new tops.... here's what I came home with, oops.

But in my defence, I did look for clothes first but didn't see anything, and I did get these out of my birthday money :)
And here's the card I made today using a couple of the new dies, and some I already had.

The stamped image is from a new set I had last week (lol) from chocolate baroque called butterfly flourish swirls.

Dads day

This is the card I made for my Dad :)

The background is made with an embossing folder which I have inked before putting it through my big shot. The sentiments are computer printed and tied onto the card with string that I dyed with glimmer mist. The rosette was made by scoring a strip of card and joining into a circle, then trying to hold it flat while the glue dried! The mesh is a piece that was cream but I again coloured to match with glimmer mist.
And a box to match.
The sizes of the triangles took some working out though.

Happy Anniversary D & M

Happy anniversary xx Wish we were there (although I guess G&P don't!!)

This card was inspired from here http://stampartic.blogspot.co.uk/2011/04/magic-card-tryllekort-tutorial.html. I did have to change a couple of measurements to suit my card.
The banner was made with a triangle of funky foam, stuck to my acrylic block. I inked the edges to create the 'bunting' the letter stamps are from a 99p wooden set. I then cut them out as a strip and was able to bend it into shape. The papers are a nitwits download - Tour of London. The image is Lili of the valley - together forever, coloured with spectrum noir.
