Butterfly Birthday

Boy did I love making this card.
I had googled fancy fold cards for some inspiration and came across this one http://cardsandcompany.wordpress.com/2011/06/25/flowers-flutters-fairies-fancy-fold/ and loved the shape.
The image is theodore flowers from bugaboo  coloured with prisma pencils and solvent. The main background is a fiskars texture plate, embossed in the big shot. the top half is brick and I have used a wave on the bottom for the grass. The picket fence is a marianne design, stamped with swirls and flowers and hearts. The butterflies are joy crafts dies, inked edges and glittered bodies and attached to a piece of acetate to make them flitter. The trees were cut on the cricut and inked and stamped with a clevercut stamp, the cloud background was made by hand cutting some cloud shapes and chalking round them. The bear and the fence have been glued with pinflair glue for a bit of dimension.

  1. Thank you so much for another beautiful card. Pride of place on the mantle piece. xx

  2. Sally, thank you so much for mentioning my blog on your post. I have had quite a few referrals which I really appreciate. LOVE your take on the "stand up" card - it is very cute. The trees on the side panels are perfect.
